Personal Profile
After graduating with a Political Science degree with a concentration in China, India & African economics, I became highly passionate about cloud system design, especially Apache open-source technologies including Kafka, Spark, Mesos, Cassandra, Redis, and more. I went onto sell Kafka and many of those technologies at Aiven, but quickly moved onto AI with the release of the BERT and Attention based Transformer Neural Networks & LLM's.
By 2019, I combined my passions of Africa and AI to be 1st in the world to Pre-Train the Kikuyu and Luganda LLM's for 15 million Kenyan speakers.
By 2023, with the maturity of AI Frontier Models, AI Embedded Search, Fine-Tuning, Reinforcement Learning and Multi-Agent systems, I became highly interested in AI Product Management and building Product. I became the first American Employee for Deepset, the first real AI Platform for embedded Search, now called RAG. In the evenings, I took on entrepreneurship to build my first product, Climate Hub.
While fluent in AI Systems, I've also progressed to Biological Foundation Models and the opportunities for Scientific Discovery. I'm currently building OmicsFlow, a Biological AI SaaS Platform for AI Pipelines using Biological Foundation Models. Check us out at www.OmicsFlow.io.
